Complex storyline, puzzles that keep you on your toes
The voice acting is a bit cheesy at times, the graphics (although nice) feel a bit low res
European Mystery: Face of Envy for Android is a good looking puzzle adventure game. You have been beckoned by an old friend to search for a thief. The game takes place in Rome, and the more things you discover about the thief, the more odd things seem to get.
I found the game to be a very good balance in difficulty and intrigue. Fortunately, the game has 4 different difficulties that range from the most casual player to the most dedicated. Naturally, I chose the most casual setting because it highlights everything for me. Sorry, I just don’t have the patience to click around on the screen all day.
I found the storyline to be pretty great throughout. There are surprises around every corner, and the game feeds you bits of information at a pace that is easy to follow. But you don’t quite have all the answers at any given time.
There are also a lot of mini games to play. There are several times where you’ll be searching for hidden objects in the frame, which is very similar to the I Spy or Where’s Waldo books. I found these to be pretty interesting, but there are other mini games as well.
European Mystery: Face of Envy is a great sequel to the original game. It has all the same puzzles and mini games that it had before, and it’s got a superb story to boot. The graphics are great, sound is good, and it’s always got you looking for the next clue or place to go.
