Useful and clean phone replacement app

Contacts are easily reached, good back up options
Not enough "flair" on the app
Simpler Contacts for Android promises to be a simpler and better version of your contacts. Is that the case? Well yes, it doesn’t take much to get to that point. Surprisingly, Simpler Contacts doesn’t merely look better, but also functions better, with a few key features that are very useful.
There are three tabs. One is a star tab that shows your frequently used contacts. I really like this feature because I don’t have to add favorite contacts that I may or may not call that much anyway. This way, it makes everyone I’ve been calling recently very available- so say someone I wouldn’t favorite; would still be in this list. Then, there is the "all contacts" tab which just shows a basic list of your contacts. I like that there are quick access phone icons that let you call from this screen with one touch. Overall, this screen looks very efficient and blue.
Then you have a very similar tab with recent calls with cool intuitive symbols that show you a little information about what happened- either a -1 for a missed call, for an upward green arrow for a received one.
To access the call dial pad, you just push a little icon that is available on every screen in the bottom corner. It brings up the dialer, and it carries the same black, blue, and white theme as the rest of the app that looks modern and clean; if not a little boring. Accessing it feels a little inconvenient, but I tell myself that it would just be another tab away on most apps anyway.
Simpler Contacts is now my go to contacts app. I love how you can export your contacts and save them in your email, have recent contacts, and how it just looks and feels better than my default dialing phone app on my S4.
