Online multiplayer, addictive game play, simple controls, sophisticated physics
Archery seems like a pretty fun idea, but practicing by shooting apple's off of your friend's heads is not a very good way to go about things, no matter how fun it may look. Luckily, Archers Clash for Android gives us the chance to shoot as many arrows as we please, and we can even get away with firing an arrow or two at our friends too!
In this game, there are a variety of different game modes, and although the gameplay roughly stays the same throughout each game mode, the opponents you will play against will vary for each mode. There is a AI mode where you can fight computer players, a practice mode where you can fine tune your aim, and even an online 1v1 mode, as well as an unlockable tournament mode.
You can also unlock part of the game that allows you to hook up with your friends and fight them online, too. The game has an interesting system that offers coins as a reward for defeating opponents. These coins can be spent on upgrades, food and potions, as well as for entering higher level contests that have larger rewards for winners.
The gameplay itself is very easy to get a hang of - you simply drag your finger on the screen to aim the arrow, and then let go to fire. In a similar fashion to Angry Birds, the arrow will curve in the direction you have aimed in. The graphics in this game are a mixture of 3D and 2D elements, and developers have managed to blend these two together extremely well. The same positive feedback can be given to the great sound effects and background music.
Archers Clash can be downloaded for free, although there are a few in-app purchases that players can buy, which will give them extra items or coins.
