Quality game design, lots of levels, addictive game play, simple controls
Dragon Storm for Android has stormed onto the app store, and it's got a lot under it's belt to keep you entertained for a long time, especially if you're a fan of 8-bit RPGs. In this game, you will be able to fight monsters as you learn more about the game's background through cut scenes and in-game action.
One of the great things about this game that sets it apart from similar titles on the app store is it's humorous story narration - there is no dialogue, and the story is instead explained through various animated cut-scenes. Once you have got into the game itself, you'll notice that the gameplay is fairly straight forward, especially for an RPG. Half of the screen will be dedicated to different attack types, whilst the other half will be dedicated to the actual game. You cannot move in this game, so you will need to wait for enemies to walk towards you, and time different attacks as they near closer.
At the end of each level, you will be awarded with upgrade points that can be used to get better gear and increased stats, and this is where the RPG elements of the game come into play.
Things get pretty exciting once you have gotten a few levels through the main story, as you will have the choice to buy various types of weapons or equipment, and choosing the right kind of items will determine whether you will be able to survive the next level or not.
Whether or not you like this kind of game, there is no doubt that Dragon Storm has been made incredibly well, and the lengthy story will give you at least a dozen hours worth of gameplay before you are finished with it.
