The perfect way to make your device look up-to-date

Stays true to material design language
Has some less than stellar wallpapers, no customization
Material Wallpapers (Android L) for Android takes all of Google’s new material design language cues and literally runs with it. Material design is sleek, minimal, but also a little bit out there. This app pulls all of the wallpapers that will be introduced with the new Android L 5.0 update, and let them install it on any of your Android devices so you don’t have to impatiently wait for them when your device finally receives its OTA update… if you’re one of the lucky ones that will get it.
The app is fairly simple, after all, it’s just a wallpaper app. There are a few ways you can access the wallpapers. You can open the app from your app drawer, or you can simply long press the home screen and select it from the wallpapers like you would normally do it.
Again, this app does pull some of the wallpapers that will be on Android L, but it also uses the same design language these wallpapers are based on and creates some new and unique wallpapers to use for yourself. Most of these wallpapers are surprisingly good, and you honestly wouldn’t be able to tell which ones are which. In fact, some of the worst looking wallpapers are straight from Google, and leave you wondering just what their design team was thinking.
No doubt about it, the new material design used in the updated Android apps looks great so far, but the wallpapers can be severely hit or miss, especially if you’re someone who enjoys re-creating your home screen every few days. I found it difficult to use many of my Zooper widgets over some of the wallpapers simply because the contrast of the colors would be so bad.
Material Wallpapers (Android L) is a great app. It works, gives you the wallpapers you want, and even leaves you with some new ones. My only complaint is that there is no customization to create your own color schemes.
