Review Shred It!
Don't get a paper cut while shredding through this endless runner

Unique art style, solid controls
No long lasting appeal
Shred It! For Android is a cute and cleverly disguised endless runner. At its core it's a game where you ride you snowboard down an endless slope avoiding obstacles and collecting leaves - presumably to build giant leaf fort once you finally find the bottom. What really makes this game stand out is its amazing art design. It's completely papercraft.
The game handles the controls flawlessly. You hold left or right to guide which direction your character turns, swipe up to jump and swipe down to slide underneath obstacles. The controls were incredibly responsive and dynamic. I could tell how each careful movement would effect my character, there was never any gray areas or unpredictable sudden movements.
As you play through the game and increase your best score, you will collect leaves and paperclips which can be used for various things. You'll unlock new abilities, characters, snowboards, and outfits. The game also has some pretty robust social features that allow you and your friends to track each other's scores to compete with each other.
My biggest complaint about the game is that there doesn't seem to be very much there to actually experience. If you're already growing tired of endless runners, this game doesn't bring anything new to the table to change your mind.
Shred It! isn't a bad game by any means. The art style definitely helps it stand out from the ground, but the gameplay should do something more to separate itself and innovate in the genre. While the controls are great and responsive, there just isn't enough there to keep me interested for more than a few minutes at a time.
