Lets you share memories privately, beautiful app design
Lacks a gallery feature for uploaded content
Cluster for Android is a photo sharing app that tries to get you away from sharing your life in public social websites, or more traditional means like SMS. Instead, it allows you to create a private place where you and certain friends and family can contribute to sharing your memories with just each other.
The way it works is pretty simple. All you have to do is create a space. The space only exists for the people you share it to, and you can create multiple spaces. So, for instance, if you want to share photos of your children with your family then you can create a space for that. If you've got a group of friends that share a single interest or hobby then you can create a space for that as well.
The app’s design is simple and beautiful. The animations are smooth and pleasant to look at, and the way that spaces are laid out remind me of your wall or friend feed on any other social networking site. You can like pictures and other submitted content, and even reply to them.
Cluster is a great way to get away from social networking sites while still being able to keep in contact with distant family and friends that you don’t see on a regular basis. The app of the design makes it great to look at and really easy to use. One thing I really enjoy about the app’s design is how it looks like a better looking feed, so it will still seem familiar to less tech savvy family members. The biggest challenge facing the app itself is convincing your friends and family to get off Facebook for five seconds to pay attention.
