Guess songs from 10 second clips
Author: Tariq Abdulla

Quality sound, interesting game play, responsive controls, ads are not confusing
Limited clip library in each category
Guess the Song for Android challenges you to guess songs from a 10 second clip. You score more points by guessing more quickly, not making mistakes, and guessing correctly many times in a row.
Song clips are organized into different categories like Rock, Cartoon Songs, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s etc. More specific tastes like Country, R&B / Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, From Musicals and One Hit Wonders, can be unlocked with in-game currency; but you can earn this by playing the game (as well as through a daily reward).
Guess The Song is free. The in-app purchases are completely optional. There are pop-up ads, but they are easy to close, so not that bad. Leaderboards are available if you sign in through Google. There's also a 2 player mode if you want to compete with a buddy on the same device.
It's a fun game to play, especially when you manage to guess songs within a couple of seconds and guess correctly many times in a row (you get rewarded with colorful messages like "4 in a row, fantastic!") Sometimes you need to guess the artist and sometimes the title, and the difficulty level seems to be about right.
The downside is that the library of clips for each category is a bit limited, so that once you know which songs are which, it becomes pretty easy. But I don't think you'll want to play the game for that long: this is more of an idle timekiller, or maybe a 10 minute party game. You also need an internet connection to load new songs; but this helps to keep down the footprint on your device, and is better for most people. It loads quickly even on weak connections.
