Botanicula for Android is a beautifully visual game of flora and originality, offering an adventure quest starring a ragtag band of insects. Search the shrubbery for clues and save the day, cuz that's just what bugs do. This one is suitable for players of all ages and skill levels, requiring patience and strategy to conquer.
Botanicula is as fun to play as it is enjoyable to look at. This is a highly original and comical adventure quest that takes place in the shrubbery of nature. The app presents in landscape mode to feature a lush gaming environment that's alive and undulating. Our heroes are a band of 5 weirdly odd, yet charming pals, who are on a quest for what, precisely, is the burning question. But no matter really, cuz they hooked me on this magical green world form the word go.
The first quest involves finding enough feathers to rescue a weird looking june bug sorta looking thing. He's big, black, kinda fuzzy looking, and is in need your help. So off our heroes go, searching for those dang feathers. Only problem is, not everyone is friendly in the magic forest, and our band of heroes aren't exactly the smartest, or bravest, insects in the land. But their heart is in the right place, and with a little persistence, they manage to get the job done.
The graphics are outstandingly entertaining. I loved the muted colors and wildly interesting locales. The animation is playful and charming, rounding out the entertaining graphics nicely. And the music is comical and soothing, offering a top notch auditory experience.
Botanicula is one of those app rarities; it's actually fun and original. This one is certainly worth the purchase price and is fun for the whole family. Absolutely loved it.
