Review REMINISCE Lock Screen Photos
Lockscreen that digs out your photos

Easy setup, simple interface, completely free, no ads
Limited settings, a bit buggy
Reminisce for Android is a simple lockscreen app that digs out random photos from your Picasa, Facebook or Instagram accounts and your device's photo gallery. It displays a photo full screen when you wake your device up, with the current time and date; and the data the photo was taken. You then swipe or press your home button to get out of it.
The app isn't perfect. You are meant to be able to select specific albums from your photo gallery, but I couldn't get that to work. After I switched off the option to have photos from my photo gallery, it continued bringing up photos from there.
It is a nice way to see some old photos, and bring back memories of your last holiday or outing. There's a good possibility that some of them are photos you otherwise would never look at again.
But it doesn't have any security lock options, and using my own security lock seems to stop it from working.
Reminisce for Android would be best suited to devices that don't need much security - a tablet you mostly leave at home for example. There are better photo lockscreens out there - that allow you to slide through a few photos.
Overall Reminisce feels a little too buggy, and hard to control. It does have the advantage of simplicity however, and it is nice to see some of your photos throughout the day. It's particularly nice to see different photos of my son throughout the day, with the dates I took them. But because I can't select specific albums, and I happen to also have hundreds of screenshots stored on my device, every other picture I'm seeing is a screenshot. There's a lot of potential from this app, but it still needs a bit of work.
