Take arms against evil
Author: Vlad Popa

Different gameplay modes, easy to learn, wide variety of weapons to unlock
Repetitive, the story is a bit cliché
SWAT 2 for Android is an action packed shooting game that places you in a world where terrorists joined forces to form an organization that threatens the safety of the world. As an elite SWAT officer you must protect the lives of the innocent by putting yourself and your teammates in dangerous situations and defuse them.
You start off with a tutorial so you won’t be in the dark when browsing the menu and you’ll soon learn all the options available to you. An amusing little addition present in the main menu is the wheel of fortune where you can test your luck and win in-game currency, ammo or even weapons. The game has a wide array of weapons that you can unlock and upgrade.
Once the game starts you will get a short description of the enemy you’re facing as they become more diverse with time. When the enemy spawns you will have an indicator that warns you when they are ready to engage. With that in mind you can find the best combination for you to terminate them. As far as game-play goes it’s interactive and keeps the user busy by providing him with a great deal of buttons, to press that will activate consumables. Be it a missile or a medical kit to get you out of a rough spot. The rest of the controls are the basic present in most FPS games, a joystick to aim, tap to fire, reload and a switch weapon option. To further enhance your gameplay players are also able to unlock various passive bonuses that will affect the main character and/or his weapons and a recruitment feature that will bring other officers to fight beside you.
Overall SWAT 2 is a fun game that will keep you engaged and test your reactions and dexterity. The game itself has decent graphics and an enjoyable soundtrack.
