Sit-ups aren't that good of an exercise
Runtastic Sit-Ups for Android is a great app for those looking to track their fitness by utilizing the sit-up exercise. While Sit-Ups are outdated exercise in some ways, many people still insist on doing the exercise because it is so simple and easy to do. This app is perfect for the masses who like sit-ups because it lets you take your mind off the work out and let the app direct you. You hold the phone to your chest and it counts as you rise. This feature actually works very well and has satisfying audio feedback that lets you know it made a successful count.
After you are done with sit ups you can save your progress and then this progress is available on the statistics tab. If you purchase the premium version of the app, you get more filtered statistics. Premium also takes away ads. Each day you have a certain amount of sit ups to accomplish and then it tells you when your goal will be met.
The app also has a cool badge system that gives you badges for your progress. You earn points, and can see leader boards. The badge system has a nice layout and even other options for other workouts (which don’t seem to be included in the app..?). Everything about the app is coated in yellow and black, with the main panels being light grey. The app feels clean and very exercise oriented.
Besides the main tab which provides your progress and work out information, there isn’t that much else to the app besides its way of advertising their own other apps like Runtastic, and Road bike, etc.
Runtastic Sit-Ups is a great addition for runners looking to track their sit-ups or for those looking for a good tracking system that not only tracks and provides statistics for your exercises, but also helps you exercise as well with timing your rest phases.
