Chess with Friends for Android is a chess game where you can play with friends or a computer. The computer is named Chester, and he is super nerdy. For you nerdy chess fans out there you don’t have to worry about being intimidated by the computer.
Everything about Chess with Friends is pretty standard - from the grey and white background of the chess board, to the semi cartoony looking chess pieces. The game plays how you would expect it to, because well - Chess has been around for a while. With that said, everything else about the application simply works well with simple things added for flair. For example, when in a chess battle, you can see your picture and your friend’s picture.
In the application there is social integration, so it’s easy to challenge your friends. Just tap and you are in a game to duke it out. When you make a move, it asks you if you are sure just in case you want to take it back. You can also see the past previous moves. The rest of the UI is simple and it’s easy to navigate.
Zynga has been around for a while and it’s chess application Chess with Friends, gets it done right. You can play with friends, a computer, and the whole process is easy to do. Check it out if you have been hankering for some chess, or the ability to gloat about your superior mind.
