WorkFlowy for Android is a deceptively simple application that provides a deep experience for note taking or just as general text organizer.
When I launched WorkFlowy, I was initially confused because there weren’t any directions and I was just presented with a blank document with one bullet point. The actual website contains this type of tutorial, and some other features that are unique to the webpage. The application is simply a mobile extension, but provides the same sort of functionality and of course ease of mobile use.
I fiddled around with the application, making more bullet points and then I discovered you could indent into one bullet point by pushing the arrow at the top of the application. Then, I also discovered by tapping on the initial bullet point you could then be presented with another document. This idea is the core functionality of WorkFlowly. The application is a hybrid note taker and takes borrowed functionality from file interface explorers. Each bullet point is like a file, and then everything under it is part of the file. Although a simple idea, it’s nothing like I’ve ever seen before. You can also cross off bullet points after you are done with them.
The possibilities of WorkFlowly are what you make of it. As someone who writes books, I could see the application being extremely useful for being one document that contains all information about a book. It could contain a very detailed outline or even multiple points for characters. The strength of this application is that you can also go back and reorganize things unlike the functionality of paper.
You could also contain many different things inside a WorkFlowy space, and with premium you could have access to many different documents.
WorkFlowly is a very strong app that is simple but also very useful for anyone who writes and needs organization, or even for the organized grocery shopping fanatic.
