Pedometer for Android is the best way to track everything weight related in order to know at all times how you’re progressing and from where you started. It is designed either for the more athletic users that must constantly keep track of their weight and calories, or for those who are following a diet and want to constantly keep in mind what they are burning off. With this in mind, the app serves more as a reminder and a tracker of all your steps, all the calories burnt and how your weight has progressed.
The interface works remarkably well, although it would have been much better if the app directed you to set it up before actual usage. In the settings menu, you can add some much needed information about yourself, the most important of which is the stride distance, how long one of your steps is. This allows the pacing feature to function with the greatest accuracy, indicating quite accurately how many steps you take. From this information the app calculates how many calories you have burned in your walk and what distance was covered. Additionally the device’s built in GPS can be activated to track the route and distance with greater accuracy.
Overall Pedometer’s pacer feature is the most useful thing incorporated into the app. Besides the pacer, the app can create a history of workouts performed, with plenty of information, however it requires that the user know and input how many calories were spent.
