Online multiplayer, addictive game play, unusual game play
Glitches, is lagging
Draw Something for Android is a hugely popular game that exploded on the app scene to become an instant hit. Think of it as a digital twist on Pictionary.
Draw Something is fun and addictive, mostly because it's so silly and easy to do. You play against online opponents in turn-by-turn style play, however, both players need not be playing live; just make your move, then wait for the other person to make theirs. You can start multiple games at once to help keep the action going.
To play, just select a word from the list of 3 provided. The words are listed in order of difficulty; the more difficult the word, the bigger the reward if you win. Once you've selected your word, draw something onscreen to represent the word, and then send it to your opponent, who then has to guess the word based on your drawing.
The play is fun, but people seem to get bored with it often, because instead of drawing something, they just write down the word you're supposed to guess. It's kind of pointless to play that way. But if you want to stick to the rules, the game can be fun. It doesn't take an artist to play, but some of the drawings people come up with are actually quite artistic, while others look like chicken scratch. Sometimes the terrible drawings are actually more fun than the artistic ones.
I sure hope the paid app runs better, cuz the freebie is riddled with glitches and annoying hangs that virtually ruin the play and made me lose interest. There was far too much time spent waiting for ads to load and screens to stop hanging, and not enough time spent playing.
Draw Something can be fun, but it can be equally tedious. You'll either love it or hate it.
