Pillaging other players villages, get to lead your own viking army
Low quality graphics, in-app purchases
Vikings Gone Wild is probably the only strategy game that uses beer as a resource. It is a strategy game where you lead your tribe from a fledgling settlement to a great stronghold of mighty warriors. Even the mighty Thor will take an interest in your village and will come to lead your armies to battle against all enemies.
Build up your own Viking village, complete with defenses to keep out those pesky enemy Vikings that think they can raid your town. Recruit a grand army of fearless warriors that will conquer, pillage, plunder and destroy just about anything they can get their hands on. Set out in your longboats to raid undead lairs. If you want an actual challenge, other player’s villages are out there, ripe for the taking. If your army is not enough for your pillaging needs, then there are always heroes you can recruit to your cause.
Overall Vikings Gone Wild is a decent game, despite the fact that the graphics are not on par with most recent games and the gameplay is somewhat boring, it does manage to deliver a fun experience. The main downside of the game is the in-app purchases. Without actually purchasing currency it will soon become hard to keep up with the needs of the village, leading to you being unable to train new soldiers or construct new buildings until more resources are produced, which could be a while.
