Review Duet

9.5Excellent
Interesting and enjoyable gameplay, fitting soundtrack
After a few levels the ads system becomes more aggressive
Duet is a wonderful navigation game in which players must control two “vessels”, as they are called, that move in perfect unison as they navigate a series of challenging obstacles. The entire game feels like your tiny vessels are dancing to the fitting, atmosphere creating soundtrack.
It’s a wonderful and amusing game that anyone can learn to enjoy. The controls are extremely simple. All you need to do is tap on the sides of the screen to turn your ships along the edge of a circle. The tricky part is keeping an eye on both ships as you navigate the oncoming obstacles. They both move at the same time, in the same direction, thus always being on opposite sides of the circle. When one of your ships collides with anything you are returned to the beginning of the level.
The entire game is beautiful in its simplicity. From the unimpressive, yet somehow artistic graphics to the perfectly chosen soundtrack, the entire game feels like it is a perfect combination of elements that work well together, even the voice acting enhances the great feeling the game delivers. The lack of colors to levels is only broken by the player controlled vessels that twirl through the environment and the splatters of paint they leave when they collide with the obstacles.
Overall Duet for Android is an amazing little game that combines puzzle elements, with the runner play style and produces a fun experience for players to enjoy. The game may feel a little simple at first but once you progress further the game becomes increasingly difficult. Moving elements, greater speed, all this and more will begin adding more and more difficulty to the levels.
