Pixelated 6 shooter and silliness

Funny sounds, addictive game play, simple controls
Monotonous over time, not great on small screens
ready steady play for Android is an ultra minimalist, wild wild west shooter. Draw yer gun, cowboy and show me what yer made of, in this root'n toot'n fun game.
ready steady play takes the minimalist approach to the extreme. You're a little pixelated and blocky looking cowboy, in this series of three different mini games. The first, is a quick-draw style shooting gallery. Our cowboy hero appears at the bottom of the screen and bad guys randomly appear on the top two thirds of the screen. You've got your trusty 6 shooter and you gotta beat the bad guys to the draw before they pump slugs into your pixelated gut. Be careful not to hit the damsels, and blast as many bad guys as you can. It's fast paced fun.
The next game places our cowboy on his trusty steed. Run and bound over obstacles or go splat in with a comical thud. It's kinda ridiculous to watch and lots of fun to play. But apparently I sucked so bad at it that I couldn't unlock the third game to even tell you what it is, so I guess it'll just remain one of life's little surprises for all of us.
The graphics are old school Atari style and I loved the black & white look to it all; very classic cowboy that successfully adds intrigue to a relatively stilted game. The sounds are really funny and just made me laugh. Controls are great, and I loved the innovative reload action because it added to the play.
ready steady play is a great little timekiller. This one is the kind of game you just pick up and play a few rounds while waiting for an appointment. Good fun, simple and addictive, though I question how intriguing it would remain over time.
