Short missions, in-app purchases
The name of the game says it all - ''Fightback'', a game in which you are given the chance to help the main character rescue his kidnapped sister; with the task falling on you to assist him in the fight against injustice. The game has barely started and you are presented with a despicable arch-enemy and a captivating plot.
In order to get the girl back, you have to fight waves of thugs. Combat controls are really easy to learn, taps trigger punches while swipes trigger kicks and dodges, allowing you to create some really great combos. There are several types of bad guys, some of them vulnerable at any attack, while others are harder to defeat and must be defeated in a specific manner. In addition to your fists you also have access to an entire arsenal of firearms that you can use. The game definitely tests your focus.
Players can access 2 different modes: story and endless challenge. With every challenge completed and successful mission, you win money that you can spend on weapons, armor and upgrades. For example you can provide you character a lot of useful gadgets that will surely help him when his physical force isn’t enough.
Overall Fightback for Android is an addictive game. Even though, missions are a little short, I completely lost track of time while beating up criminals. The visuals are pretty good for smart devices, with awesome dark and gritty environments, nice character design and the animations are quite impressive too. The game offers in-app purchases, but you can comfortably play without having to rely on them.
