Online multiplayer, addictive game play, simple controls
Uses a lot of system resources, graphics could have been better, impossible to play without paying money
RE-VOLT 2 : Multiplayer for Android is a fast paced, radio controlled car racing game. Zip through a suburban obstacle course, launch missiles and compete against online opponents.
RE-VOLT 2 : Multiplayer places you behind the wheel of a RC racer. The presentation is your standard racing game, with the point of view coming from just behind the car, which effectively drops you inside the action. The race tracks are reminiscent of a childhood setup with makeshift jumps and hairpin turns through neighborhood streets. Race the course against online opponents and even shoot missiles to send your competition tumbling. The cars handle fairly well with the typical upgrades to improve performance.
The controls are responsive and spaced well with left and right arrows on either side of the screen. The cars aren't overly sluggish so it's possible to have some fun racing right out of the gate. However, the upgrades are quite expensive and would be exceedingly difficult to earn through play. Don't plan on driving any of the other cool cars in the garage without shelling gout for the ride.
The sounds are good and add to the action. All the menus and upgrade screens are decent but could make better use of the screen space to improve the look and make it more inviting. The animation is good with some rendering issues and stutters.
RE-VOLT 2 : Multiplayer is fun and the online play is smooth. I just wish at least some of the alternate cars were a little more within reach as far as earned upgrades our outright purchase. It's a little boring to race 8 other cars when everyone's driving the same model. However, the action is good and I found the action addictive all the same.
