Review Real Drift Car Racing Free
One of the best drift racing games
Author: Jay Feldman
Date: 05 Aug 2014, tested on ASUS Nexus 7 (2013)
Quality 3D graphics, addictive game play, two-finger controls
Needs to be elaborated, kills your battery, not interesting to play without paying money
Real Drift Car Racing for Android is excellent. Drive fast, burn rubber and drift like you're skating on ice. This one is highly addictive with outstanding mechanics.
Real Drift Car Racing is one of the best drift racing games I've tried. The physics are spot on, the speed is great, and burning rubber is hugely satisfying because it leaves skid-marks on the pavement and plumes of smoke in your wake. Sit up and pay attention, little boys who love to go fast; this one grabs you by the balls and doesn't let go.
The tracks are highly detailed and industrial looking. I tested the free version and didn't notice a multiplayer option and am unclear if it's part of the paid version or not. However, the freebie plays very well, but the races are solo. The play reminded me of being a teenager in a big open parking lot where you could do doughnuts and burn rubber just for fun. Drive and drift through the different tracks offered and have a good time.
The controls are excellent, with an accelerator on the right and a handbrake on the left. Just toggle the handbrake to control your drifts. The action is hugely satisfying and you can really do some cool stunts. I was able to drive backwards, then spin the car around in a huge skid and go forwards; I think they used to call that The Rockford. I've never been able to do that in a game before, let alone real life.
Real Drift Car Racing is a gamer's game. I loved that the developers offer a fully functional freebie to try before you buy. That's so much classier than the usual hampered play and beggar's hand method of programming. If you like to drive cars and go fast, this game would be well worth the purchase price.
