Every level brings something new, interesting game play, responsive controls
Needs to be elaborated, too few levels, graphics could have been better
Trombiya for Android is decent fun. The app menus appear to only be in French at this time, however, but the play is universal.
Trombiya is essentially a labyrinth sort of game. However, instead of a steel marble, this time you’re tilting and guiding a virtual top through a maze of obstacles. As the levels progress, the obstacles get pretty silly; moving saw blades, super strong magnets and outright holes in the floor. It’s challenging without being impossible.
The controls are excellent. Just tilt your device like you’re playing a real labyrinth game with a marble on a flat board; as you tilt, the top moves through the maze. You can hit the sides of the maze but it makes your top wobble as it spins. Most obstacles need to be avoided, while others trigger actions. The graphics are decent but need to be developed; they feel a little sparse and undersized. But the animation is good and the top has nice flow and movement.
Unfortunately the app text is all in French, but it really doesn't matter. Just spin the darn top and play. However, the game is a little short and needs more levels.
Trombiya is entertaining and has potential, but it’s a tad thin and needs more of everything. There’s no chance of it getting boring because it’ll be over before you know it. Still, it's enjoyable and good fun for gamers of all ages.
