Neat graphics, interesting game play, one-finger controls
May get monotinous
Marble Drop for Android is an interesting brain teaser style game. The play is challenging and will make you think.
Marble Drop has a simple idea behind it: drop colored balls through a plinko style maze and land them into into their corresponding cups. Each round has a set number of balls and a unique vertical maze. Just place a ball at the top, release it, and watch it rebound through the course and (hopefully) land into one of the appropriately colored cups below. The trick is, the balls have to be dropped in the correct sequence, and each one triggers different trap doors and shifting pathways through the maze. It’s interesting, with trial and error sort of play. Keep replaying rounds as you figure things out and try to get the job done without messing up.
The graphics have an appealing chalkboard look that helps the game feel contemporary even within its simplicity. The animation is nice and the physics are decent. There are lots of rounds and each level brings something new. This might get monotonous over time, but I think they've made a good effort at maintaining variance and intrigue. You'll either get hooked by this one or you won't.
Marble Drop is just good clean fun for gamers and time wasters. It’s the sort of game you can play a little here and there, and even play with friends or family. This is a nice example of how a simple and potentially static concept can be highly appealing if presented well.
