Review Kritika: Chaos Unleashed
Fast paced fantasy RPG
Author: Vlad Popa

Fast paced gameplay, decent graphics, nice soundtrack
Not enough customization options, most enemies are easily dispatched
Inspired by modern day RPGs comes Kritika: Chaos Unleashed. A game that tries to capture the epic feeling of having your hero slice through waves of enemies, cleaving them with a giant blade, all this while looking as badass as possible.
While the artwork is reminiscent of the anime style, this is only an issue for the advisors in the main menu, where it becomes extremely obvious and a bit bothersome. The environments are beautifully designed, with plenty of attention to detail. The soundtrack has an energetic and alert theme, fitting in perfectly with the fast paced gameplay.
The entire game feels a bit more like a rush to defeat enemies than I would have liked, but everything is fluid and allows the user unprecedented maneuverability. Controls are fairly standard, with a joystick on the lower left side controlling movement, while buttons on the lower right side of the screen control attacks and special abilities. There are plenty of weapons to collect and use, abilities to unlock and monsters to fight.
Overall Kritika: Chaos Unleashed for Android is more of a generic dungeon crawler that can still offer the player enough fun and excitement to keep him interested. It is not overly difficult, most enemies being mindless cannon fodder and bosses being a bit predictable in their attacks. It remains a good game worth playing for anyone who enjoys action packed games.
