TED for Android is the best way to watch and search for different TED Talks delivered throughout the world. For those of you who’re not sure what TED Talks are, they are basically a 17 min long lecture in which people from all walks of lives share their experiences with the world. These talks focus on any and all ideas that are worth spreading to the masses in an entertaining manner.
The app allows users to sift through thousands of TED Talks on subjects ranging from advanced Physics to Literature, from artificial intelligence to social behavior, from creativity to so much more. With new content being added to the app on a weekly basis, you’ll have countless hours of entertaining and inspiring lectures to go through. It’s universal app and provides subtitled as well as translated content in a myriad of languages for users who don’t have English as their first language.
Users can browse through the lectures either by choosing from one of the seven featured lectures as well as choosing from lectures of a particular subject. The app also features an “Inspire Me” section in which you can view talks on the basis of the experience you want to demonstrated. You can bookmark and even download the videos for your future viewing pleasure.
The in app player for the videos is amazing and has a very little buffering time especially if you’re connected via Wi-Fi. With an exquisite and simple to navigate through GUI to match, you really can’t find much to complain about.
All in all, the TED app provides users an easy access to TED Talks and gives them the opportunity to be inspired anywhere, anytime by listening to inspirational people from all around the world.

Using the app on my Kindle Fire, I could find no way to download video for watching when I had no WiFi access.  Since I just bought my Kindle I'm seriously disappointed.
