Review DigiCal Calendar
A very basic calendar app - thoroughly underwhelming

Simple interface, minimalist design
Limited features, weak functionality, not powerful enough, old fashioned design, unjustified price
DigiCal Calendar & Widgets for Android is a decent calendar, but nothing special. The best widgets, or at least the ones I want most, are only available in the paid version for $5, leaving only a relatively underwhelming set of widgets for use in this free version.
DigiCal Calendar & Widgets is your basic calendar app. You can view by month, week or day; as per usual with all calendar apps. Adding new entries is easy; just tap the + icon and input the info as usual. All the typical features are there; set notifications, repeat intervals, date, time, etc.
The calendar functions adequately, there’s just virtually nothing special, unique or memorable about it. The color choices are literally light or dark. The app’s descriptions boast all the beautiful widget options; of which I saw none that were interesting or merited a purchase to unlock. The one widget most everyone will want most, the full month view widget, is only available via the paid app. And frankly, I hardly think it’s worth the purchase price just to activate 2 mediocre looking widgets. There are virtually no customization options for the color scheme of the calendar itself, which makes things pretty boring.
DigiCal Calendar & Widgets offers virtually nothing that the stock Google calendar already gives you; in fact, this app may offer less. If you’re looking for a great calendar app, check out Jorte; it’s free, it works and has a host of features, widgets and custom options that this app does not.
