Realistic billiards on your Android

Perfect soundtrack, online multiplayer, interesting levels, addictive game play, quality physics
Lags a bit, high price
8 Ball Pool for Android offers billiard against online opponents. The play is excellent with sophisticated physics and subtle controls.
8 Ball Pool is a lot of fun. It truly took me back to my hoodlum days (not!) when I used to play all the time (true) and really got hooked on the game. The screen is basically taken up in its entirety by the top view of a pool table. You can play offline to practice, but the actual matches happen against online opponents in real time. Both players have to be available to play, and each turn is timed, so there’s no sneaking away to the bathroom or watching TV. Just pay the ante with virtual money, which basically amounts to a bet, and let the balls land where they may.
The rules are just like real pool; first ball to sink assigns solids or stripes to each respective player. Sink all the balls on the table, and then go for the 8 ball. The controls have excellent nuance and accuracy. The ball has spin control for shape and precision shots; or you can smack the heck out of everything in sight. The cue has a power meter so you can hit hard or hit soft with accuracy.
8 Ball Pool is remarkably realistic and a lot of fun. There’s tons of different locales and table styles to unlock. Buying extra coin to bet with looks expensive. However if you're good, you can play for free with your accumulated winnings. Good fun!
