Vikings, dragons and amusing characters

Dragons!, quality animation, quality game design
Difficult to play without in-app purchases
Following up on the hype created by How to Train Your Dragon, we have Dragons: Rise of Berk, a game that lets you join all your favorite characters, such as Hiccup, Astrid, Stoik, Gobber, and many others as they rebuild Berk and rescue dragons.
The first thing worth noting is the graphics; everything is well detailed with vibrant colors and a beautiful environment. The dragons are very well animated and are entertaining to look at as they go about all the tasks you set for them. Fans of the show will be pleased to know that the artwork is extremely faithful, and all their favorite characters will make an appearance.
Gameplay has nothing terribly exciting. You gather resources to build your very own Berk. Although you start only with Toothless as your first dragon in the village, he will be sent on explorations and soon return with dragon eggs that you can hatch and build homes for. Once you get more dragons you can feed them fish to grow them and level them and eventually train them in order to teach them special skills, such as fishing and gathering wood, which gives your dragons tasks they can perform to help out around your expanding village.
Dragons: Rise of Berk for Android is one of the best tycoon games, with has nice graphics, fun little mechanics, amusing characters, and best of all dragons. The game is free, but like so many tycoon games before it, falls into the same pitfall. You will soon find that almost everything takes very long to complete without buying tokens that you can use to apply instant finishes.
