Perfect soundtrack, quality game design, quality 3d graphics, addictive game play
Uses a lot of system resources, kills your battery
Topia World Builder for Android lets you play god. Build and populate your own earth style planet and decide how it evolves. It’s surprisingly relaxing and tranquil, though sometimes, violence erupts; you know, kinda like real life.
Topia World Builder is very well done. You are the creator of your own paradise world and get to decide how it all unfolds. Grow trees, make mountains, burrow canyons and create new oceans. It’s all up to you. There are a host of icons on the right of the screen that offer various opportunities to create the world of your bliss. Add animals, control the weather and more, all at your fingertips.
It was fun to plant trees with the swipe of my finger and just watch a whole forest sprout up right before my eyes. Creating rocky mountain ranges was also fun, as was carving out new bodies of water. I was having fun adding all kinds of animals that were grazing the fields, but then I added some mean looking saber tooth cats, and all hell broke loose. Those cats made quick work of my grazing animals, which died a bloody death at their feline paws. Shocker!! So much for paradise!
The controls are excellent. Pinch zoom controls rotate and move the geography to view it from most any angle, close up or long shot. I experienced no glitches, however, this did drain the battery and ran my tablet hot. But it’s all very cool and enthralling.
Topia World Builder is a game you could really delve into. You can create and save multiple worlds, and come back to them and help them evolve over time. The music is fantastic, which is something I rarely say about an app. But in this case, it really was very good and appropriate. Fantastic game.
