Issuu: A World Of Magazines for Android is actually quite nice. I like that all the magazines are free and that there is a great selection to choose from. Plus, the custom sorting makes it easy to come back to your faves.
Issuu: A World Of Magazines has a very modern and clean layout. You can’t get far without signing up for an account but the upside is, it doesn't take much time to do. Just use an email address to create an account with 3 short fields to fill out, or sign up with your favorite social networking account. Account creation also means you can easily organize a personal library of interests and return to them whenever the mood hits.
The layout of this app is clean and minimalist, placing all the focus on the magazines, which is just as it should be. Not every magazine title is available here, and lots were ones I had never heard of before. But the powerful search tool makes it very easy to find articles on subjects that interest you most. It also encourages you to browse magazines you may never have noticed otherwise, so it’s a good way to expand one’s horizons and intellectual stimuli.
The pictures are beautiful and it was fun scrolling through all the categories. I assume the magazines make their money with the ads we’ll see browsing their pages. But I’m good with all that and enjoy the selection. Plus, there’s no messy clutter on my coffee table to clean up.
Issuu: A World Of Magazines saves trees, cuts down clutter and places a virtual newsstand right in your hands; all for free. There’s no harm in checking it out and seeing if there’s anything of interest to you. I’ll keep it installed and come back to it from time to time, for sure. Nicely done and nice to have.
