Quality animation, neat graphics, addictive game play
Needs to be elaborated, uses a lot of system resources
Train Town: Build & Explore for Android is a model train simulator. Lay track, trees and structures; pick your engine, and watch it chug around the track. And the best part of all? You never have to pick it up off the floor!
Train Town: Build & Explore is an app little boys of all ages will love. (Ok, and some little girls too!) The game starts on a beachfront property. Lay train tracks in any configuration you like, just by touching the screen and dragging your finger. Each touch creates another pivot point in the track which can be bent and stretched at pretty much any angle. I created some turns that defy reality, and it was fun to send my train down the tracks anyway and watch what happens.
I love the “crash mode” which just means that your train will derail and crash if it runs into anything on the track. And the cool part about that is, you can intentionally put trees, rocks and buildings right on the tracks just for the fun of it, and watch it all go boom when your little choo-choo rams into it all.
You can play with virtual trains in sun, rain, sleet and snow; day or night. There are lots of different things to choose from to decorate and populate your environment. And there are plenty of controls for throttle, zoom and various camera angles. All worked well with just simple taps.
Train Town: Build & Explore is a lot of fun. Children will love it but ferroequinologists of all kinds will also love it. Very colorful and fun. Kinda relaxing too.
