Quality 3D graphics, exciting game play, addictive game play
Needs to be elaborated, animation is a bit laggy
The Collider for Android bears a striking similarity to Tunnel Trouble 3D, only I think this one might have the edge as far as controls and visuals. It’s fast paced, intense and challenging. If you have a need for speed, this is your game.
The Collider has a simple yet classic premise: go fast, go far, go boom. The game is played from the first person point of view. There’s no spaceship or anything like that; it’s just you, inside this futuristic tube looking thing, flying at hyper speed. Round hatches appear in your path and have cutout shapes that you must fly through with precision and accuracy, or go splat and die. Some of the shapes rotate, upping the difficulty, others remain stationary. The size and shape of the cutouts changes with each passing hatch you navigate through. The farther you go, the faster you go. And the faster you go, the less time you have to react and successfully navigate through the hatches. Sound fun? That’s cuz it is.
The controls are delicate and accurate. Just slide your finger to move a small dot on the screen, which aims your trajectory through the cutout shapes. The controls are excellent, making the game very playable and highly addictive. Just keep whizzing through the shapes, faster and faster until you ultimately go boom.
The graphics are good fun. The colors are intense and have a neon Tron kind of feel to them. The tube has bends and turns, so you really have to focus and be spot on with your flying. And the cutouts you fly through come fast and furious the deeper you get into the game.
The Collider is one of the better games I've tried from this genre. Great sounds, vibrant graphics and super fast play make this one a keeper. I definitely think it's worth splurging a dollar on this one. Have fun!
