Quality animation, quality 3d graphics, simple controls, sophisticated physics
Soccerinho for Android is very cool. It’s a dash of Shaolin Soccer and a heap of fun. This is a true gamer’s experience.
Soccerinho is a high quality, masterfully animated app. The visuals border on stunning and pop off the screen with originality and style. It all looks so good, you’d swear this app were directed by Martin Scorsese. The tutorials are excellent with no obligatory reading or redundant back story. The visual instructions teach by example; simple and to the point.
The object of the game is essentially trick shots amidst an urban landscape. Flick, rebound and ricochet the ball off a myriad of city objects and obstacles to score goals and advance to the next round. But it’s not as easy as just making one lucky shot; you have to make repeat shots and score a minimum of 3 stars to advance. If you suck, your stuck.
The controls are excellent with a lot of precision and nuance. Just flick your finger to kick the ball. You can kick deliberately with accuracy, or just wallop that ball hard and send it flying. The physics are great and the ball bounces are very lively, which just adds to the enjoyment and fun. The controls also include the choice between a virtual joystick or tilt controls that move you around game environment, so there's a lot more to the game play than just flicking the ball and hoping to score. You actually have to take time to aim, think, and line yourself up just right to make a successful shot.
Soccerinho is very entertaining and relies on both skill and luck. This is a game anyone can play and enjoy. It's very nicely done and clearly a lot of thought and care went into making this game as good as it could be; it's highly polished. Have fun!
