Classic Arcade Style Fun

Classic retro play, challenging trial and error play
Choppy graphics, annoying soundtrack
Splashy Slime Impossible Game for Android is amazing fun. It almost reminds me of Kirby, only this would have been pre Nintendo. The old school style is a perfect tribute old school gamers will love. The problem is, the retro feel is both this game’s strength and downfall.
Do you want to know what gaming was like 30 years ago? Then Splashy Slime Impossible Game is for you! It’s a basic run and leap style of game, except in this case, the running is slimy bouncing. Little slimy actually propels through the game environment on his own, and you just tap the screen to make the cute little slime ball leap over obstacles, over precipices and avoid spikes that make little slimy go *pop*!
As the title suggests, this game seems near impossible at times. However, if you just keep at it and learn form trial and error, you can conquer all the levels with some dedication. The controls work well and seem accurate, which is key for a game like this. The environment gets challenging really quick because it’s not just a side scroller, but also moves up, down and all around the screen. This is great because it adds to the challenge and interest of the game.
In the old days, you plunked a quarter into a machine and started out most games like this with 3 lives, and there were no pause buttons. You just flew by the seat of your pants and played as long as you could for 25 cents. This game does a great job of mimicking that style of play because you have to complete each level in one swoop. Make a mistake and you die and have to start the level all over. Welcome to real gaming, friends.
The downside to this game is the soundtrack is just a little too spot on with the retro feel and gets annoying right quick. So the mute button is your friend on this one; that, or be prepared to hear this music in your sleep if you become addicted to this game. The graphics are perfect for an old school game, but it’s hard to accept it as “good” in this modern era. But it is accurate, that’s for sure.
Splashy Slime Impossible is a cool retro style game that plays (almost) like a classic arcade game. Fun enough, but it will grate on your nerves after a while.
