Lots of levels, the game is addictive, simple controls
No adjustment of controls, non-balanced physics, graphics could have been better
In some ways, Aliens Drive Me Crazy has the look and feel of a retro arcade game called Elevator Action, but with some new twists. It’s an easy game to jump in and get right to the fun. It’s not bogged down by an overly cumbersome story, and like some of the best games out there, it’s based on the reliable premise that bashing stuff is fun.
The game is basically a side-scrolling smash ‘em game. You start off with a pretty rad car and drive along a cartoonish skyline, bashing other cars, busting through obstacles and blowing stuff up while driving amok. Each level’s climax culminates at a warehouse type structure, where you ditch the car and jump up from one floor to the next, shooting bad guys, dodging fire, and even helicopters. Get the key and escape out the top floor exit. Naturally, you collect coins through the game to earn upgrades of vehicles, outfits and weaponry. Controls are easy – swipe up to bash upwards, swipe down to bash stuff downwards. Lots of cool explosions and action. Overall, the game moves too slowly. The car should have a speed adjustment to go faster or slower.
ResumeThis game is fun with a minimal learning curve. It’s a good time-killer when you've got a few minutes to burn. Jump in, play a few levels and set it aside until next time. Sounds are good and the graphics are entertaining.
