Review Slyde

Interesting functionality, nice interface, modern design

Slyde - Floating App Switcher for Android mimics many lock screen and app drawer apps, but adds a modern twist with easy access and seamless integration.
Slyde Floating App Switcher is quite functional and innovative. Basically it’s an app drawer that holds up to five icons of your most favorite apps. The app places a small blue, semi-transparent Slyde logo on your home screen along the right edge. Just place your finger on the logo and your five selected app icons appear; ‘Slyde’ your finger and the logo to any of your five favorites then release, and the corresponding app opens automatically.
This is as much a launcher as it is a switcher, but either way, it’s convenient. I placed my browser, email, camera and other most used apps in the five designated spots and have found it quite convenient to have them available, literally at my fingertips.
The app hangs occasionally, but is otherwise rock solid. The setup is fast and easy; no sweat at all. Menus are laid out well and the app is lightweight and unobtrusive on your system resources. I think for the nominal cost, this app offers a lot in return.
Slyde - Floating App Switcher is the kind of app you’ll use on a daily basis, and not even realize it’s there; but you’d certainly miss it if it weren't.
