Review Paperama

Jay Feldman
Thought provoking, atmospheric soundtrack, simple controls
Might get boring, needs a twist, ads can be annoying
Paperama for Android is a simple and straightforward game. You fold sheets of paper into a predetermined shape. Fit and fold as much of your paper into the dotted lines to win. The higher percentage of accuracy with your folds, the better your score. And there are hints to use if you get stuck. Buying more hints can cost you, or alternatively, you could just play for free and use your brain to figure it all out on your own.
The layout of Paperama is very inviting. It's simple, yet colorful and easy to follow. Trying to pull off the alternating shapes can get tricky. You have to think 3 or 4 folds ahead to get it all done in the limited moves you have for each one. Every few levels, there's a little animation that's very cool. It breaks up the game play and adds a little variety. The sounds effects and music are actually kind of soothing. I may even keep this soundtrack on and not mute it like most of the rest. This would be a great game for kids, and anyone who wants to keep their mind sharp. Brain teaser kind of games are always fun and this is a good one.

Paperama is a nice relaxing game. If there's any criticism, it's that it may get dull. However, this is a game best played over time; a few levels here and there for a daily challenge. Great for dentist or doctor's office waiting rooms. This is a game that I'll definitely keep and come back to again and again. Can't wait to see what I'll make next!
