Stumbling, bumbling fun arcade

Quality animation, quality graphics, interesting plot
Lags a bit, challenging controls, monotonous game play
Clumsy Ninja is an unusual game. You're in control of a ninja who happens to be a bit of a putz. Think Inspector Clouseau vs Kato. Funny and light hearted.
What I like most about Clumsy Ninja, is it doesn't take itself too seriously. The graphics are actually excellent for this silly, mindless game. The 3D and depth of field is spot on and makes what may otherwise be a tedious game, kind of entertaining and addictive. It reminds me a little of that talking cat app, in that, you can poke the Clumsy Ninja here and there, and watch his silly reactions. But this app takes the schadenfreude one step further, by adding the comedic gimmick of letting you intentionally hurl the ninja into stuff and watch him go 'splat' and 'ouch!' What fun! I have several people I dislike in mind as I beat the heck out of this poor, unassuming, little ninja. Sorry little fella, but I got some pent up rage to work off, and you had it coming.
The game does have a plot and point to it all - complete tasks, gain powers and do all kinds of stealthy ninja type stuff. But truthfully, I just like beating the ninja up. But ok, if you want to actually complete the game, I think that would be a lot of fun too. Controls are just simple swipes, but I did find them hard to maneuver and get the hang of. And naturally there's plenty of upgrades to make your game unique and personal.
Resume
Clumsy Ninja has enough going for it that it will hold my interest for a while. It's fun, funny, very polished and refined. I think kids of all ages will love this one.Final ratings
