No significant drawbacks

WeChat is a really interesting instant messenger application for Android that is, although quite similar to its counterparts like Whatsapp and Facebook messenger, features a social element to it. You will not only able to chat with people from your phone contact list, but also create a photo album and look for people that are using the app near you.

The program features a standard interface and is bound to your phone number. Therefore, the first time you enter the app you will be able to see all people from your contact list who use the app. You will only need to add them to friends. Apart from it, the software has a wide selection of cute and quality smileys and stickers.

Another perk of the app is the social element. Enter Discover section and start uploading photos to your personal photo album or check out who’s using the app nearby and make new friends. It’s something really new and exciting and definitely worth to try!

WeChat is an unusual messenger app for Android that lets you both chat with people you know and make new friends. It has a neat and user-friendly interface and no significant drawbacks. The app is distributed for free.

I accidentally deleted my wechat on my Asus ZenFone 5 and unfortunately I was not able to install it again. Why was that? Hoping for an answer.. Need this app badly.

I am use Asus Zenfone 4 and I already followed the step but also can't download the wechat. They still said my software is not compatible with this app. Why? I love to use this app. Please fix this problem please....

On the text that says "incompatible" click on it and it will show you why the app is incompatible. Also, sometimes our links are region-based. Try doing a search for the app on your Play Store app, just in case.

It looks like the app isn't available for ASUS phones through traditional means. Do a quick google search for the app for ASUS phones and see what you come up with.

I can understand some reluctance regarding Google Play.
First off let me tell you: The service itself is free to use and you can find an abundance of free apps that perform almost the same functions as the paid versions. Even the paid apps are the developer's choices to add paid versions / in-app purchases.
WeChat is one of those apps. It comes free to download.

Hello,
Simply click the "Free Version" link above the review and it will redirect you to Google Play. There make sure you are logged in with the same Google account on both your PC and your Android device before clicking the "Install" button. A new pop-up should be displayed allowing you to select your device and will also indicate any incompatibilities. If all goes well you can then initiate a remote installation.
Alternatively you can scan or input the QR code, also found above the review, into your Android device and it will direct you to the download page.

I bought two ASUS MeMO Pad 8 ME181C from Amazon‎ last week and have installed WeChat on both of them. After installation, both of them can do Message through WeChat, however, none of them can do Free Call through WeChat. It seems to me that ASUS MeMO Pad 8 and WeChat are not fully compatible. Does anybody have the luck doing Free Call through WeChat on ASUS MeMO Pad 8?
