The Gate is a really atmospheric and quality card-based strategy game that was released by famous Mobage studio. It features awesome 3D graphics, nice plot, interesting card-based unit system, and highly-dynamic battles against mobs and bosses.
Every level is a relatively small piece of land where several of your characters will be located, meanwhile the monsters will be coming at you from everywhere. You can control your heroes manually or make them automatically attack the enemies by tapping on the button at the top left part of the screen.
Some levels will also feature bosses that you will need to kill. You will earn experience and level up as you play, and every time you do, you will be able to upgrade your heroes or increase their stats. After every level you will be given several new cards that you can use as new units: all of them have their own unique skills and abilities that you can review in the menu.
The Gate is a sophisticated and highly-addictive action strategy that was developed by Mobage. The game is distributed completely for free, but you will probably need to purchase stuff in-game to succeed.
