Decent animation, decent graphics, one-finger controls
Very common, bores you really quickly
Perfect Kick for Android is a soccer penalty kick game against online multiplayers and has decent play.
Perfect Kick takes place in a soccer stadium filled with fans. It’s you against your opponent; whoever scores the most penalty kicks out of 5. Players take turns kicking and playing goal; one kicks as the other blocks, and then they switch, turn by turn, until each player takes their 5 shots and the highest score wins.
The best feature of this game is that you can play against live online opponents. The connections seemed fast and it didn't take long to get matched up with an opponent. To kick, just swipe your finger from the ball to whatever corner of the net you’re aiming for. The flaw here is, it soon becomes apparent that no real skill is required. Just slide your finger exactly where you want the ball to go, then release, and it’s a perfect shot every time. It would be better if you had to flick the ball, rather than touch and drag; that way some skill would be part of the play. But this touch and drag stuff makes it all too easy.
*Tip* - if you want to score a goal pretty much 100% of the time, just drag and point your finger right next to your opponent’s body; keep it low, and don’t go for the big flair shots; the controls are shoddy enough that shots like that can’t effectively be blocked. Once you know that secret, you can pretty much beat everyone without even trying. Not much fun, but great for the ego.
The graphics and animation are decent but could have been better. The sounds are entertaining. I did like how the players celebrated after every goal; very authentic at least.
Perfect Kick is decent fun. Soccer fanatics may like it, but true gamers will find it boring. I think this is best suited for kids because the graphics are colorful and it’s easy to score goals.
