7.7Good

Decent system scans and firewall protection
Powerful functionality, simple interface
Not powerful enough, non-elaborated interface, old fashioned design, lags a bit

Dr.Web Antivirus offers comprehensive system protection and scanning for your droid. The trial app is fully functional for 14 days, then you need to decide if you’re willing to pay for the full version.
Dr.Web has a lot going for it. The interface is very simple in look and function. The color scheme is inviting and distinct, though perhaps a tad out dated. However it functions well and Quick Scans seem to complete quickly, while the more comprehensive ones did suffer from the occasional hang. There’s also a quarantine feature to isolate potential threats. Personally, I love the firewall feature because it monitors open sockets and network activity on your gizmo. Cloud Checker can also easily block potentially malicious websites and high risk categories known to harbor threats.
The interface works well. I enjoyed the detailed statistics available outlining the files scanned, along with threats detected and fixed. I just wish it was all a little more visually appealing. This app has the look and feel of Android 2.0, not 4.4, so it all comes across as a little old and uninspired. However, it doesn't give me confidence that the definitions will be diligently and quickly maintained as threats shift and change.
Ironically, the worst glitch this app has is trying to purchase the full version. I never could get that page to load just to check out the pricing. I did see there are 1 and 2 year options; including a 1 year with no tech support and an Unlimited license. But again, the page is riddled with constant glitches and hangs.
Dr.Web is a decent Android security scanner. But personally, I’m not looking for decent when we’re talking security. I think this one is just ok, but there are much better options out there that instill more confidence; which is exactly what security is all about; that feeling of being protected. I just don’t have a lot of faith in this one.
