Quality animation, quality graphics, quality game play
No real innovation, uses a lot of system resources
Frozen Free Fall for Android is a match three style game with a Frozen movie theme. Play with all your favorite characters in this colorful winter wonderland.
Frozen Free Fall is decent fun. The game’s landscape takes place in a replica of the movie’s fantasy realm. Play with all your favorite characters as the game progresses. Like so many others, the play is pretty common. Just match three or more gemstones to clear the board. Chain reactions are vibrant and fun, with some interesting power ups and special abilities.
The graphics are quite nice. This is Disney, after all, and all lives up to their high standards. There’s not a whole lot of innovation going on here, however, the movie has such a strong following that I don’t think it really matters. If you loved the film, you will love this game. The action is polished and highly refined. This is certainly quality gaming, and all for free.
The app does run the CPU hot very fast and drains the battery quite heavily. The animation is very crisp and smooth, so all that means computing power and battery drain. Everything looks colorful and inviting and I like how you progress through the kingdom, toward the castle as the game advances.
Frozen Free Fall is an addictive time killer, but I wish it just tried a little harder to be original. Regardless, it’s a lot of fun and should prove popular with movie and match three fans.
