Funny sounds, quality graphics, every level brings something new, really addictive, simple controls
Lags a bit, kills your battery, high difficulty
Angry Birds Space for Android was perhaps the inspiration that ultimately led to Angry Birds Star Wars. The play is fun and innovative, though at times, exceedingly difficult. If you love Angry Birds, you’ll be hooked.
Angry Birds Space takes our angry feathered friends and places them in a zero gravity space environment. Actually, the game uses a mix of gravity and zero gravity; even making use of aquatic worlds, which just adds to the complexity of physics and dynamic play. The game takes place in outer space, naturally, but this is no solar system you've ever heard about in science class. There are space birds and extra terrestrial piggies on weird planets. And as per usual, the two clans are feuding, and the astro birdies are bent on making space bacon out of these alien swine.
The fun part of Angry Birds Space is the unpredictability of the environment. Every level brings a new challenge, unlike any Angry Birds you have played before. Because you are in space, the graphics visually depict atmospheric borders around asteroids and planets; cross over from space into this atmospheric zone, and you go from zero gravity, to the presence of gravity; all of which effects how you fling your angry bird.
I love all the special abilities each bird has, and all your fave characters are here, plus a bunch of new ones; all of which have something funny and unique about them that lets you know you’re in outer space. So basically it’s Astrobirds vs. Pigliens.
The controls are great, the graphics are excellent, the physics are as awesome as usual, and the sounds are hilarious. But if you love this game, do yourself a favor and be sure to get the ad free version, because the ads really impact the play and stability of the app.
Angry Birds Space isn't as much fun as Angry Birds Star Wars, but it’s easy to see how one idea inspired the other. If you’re a fan, this is another must-have edition of the series.
