Review GT Racing 2: The Real Car Exp
Fast racing, photo realistic graphics, greedy upgrades
Author: Jay Feldman
Date: 03 Apr 2017, tested on ASUS Nexus 7 (2013)
Quality 3D graphics, exciting game play, several variants of controls
Challenging controls, animation is a bit laggy, impossible to play without paying money
GT Racing 2: The Real Car Exp for Android is pretty awesome. The racing feels fast, the graphics go for realism and the animation looks as good as it plays. I think they have every make and model car you could ever want, all at prices you probably can't afford.
GT Racing 2: The Real Car Exp looks fantastic. The cars are very well rendered and photo-realistic. Choose from several models, most of which will be far out of reach unless you pay with real cash. Race tracks through city streets throughout the globe; but again, most of them will require pay to play.
The controls are a little erratic no matter which variant you choose, but I appreciate all the different options. Even though the steering is a bit skittish, it’s still possible to drive with accuracy. The automatic throttle works really well and I love the rear view perspective options
Naturally you can upgrade your car to make it better, stronger, faster; which again, translates to more money. If you haven’t caught on yet, this app is a tad greedy. However it plays well. The menus could be designed better; as it is, they’d be terrible on smaller screens.
GT Racing 2: The Real Car Exp has a lot going for it. Even with all its flaws and aggressive upgrades, this one is worthwhile at least for the free rounds. The speed is great and racing against online opponents is cool. Great game, just not worth what it would cost to really go deep with it.
