Review Buzz Launcher

7.4Good
Powerful functionality, lots of settings, elaborated design
Less is more, glitches, is lagging
Buzz Launcher for Android is highly developed with loads of custom options, skins and powerful functionality. But the kitchen sink mentality often just gets in the way of itself.
Buzz Launcher is one of the most refined launcher apps I've ever seen. The interface is exhaustive to the point that it almost hijacks your entire Android experience to create a hybrid OS all its own. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. I loved all the custom tweaks and possibilities, but it all started to feel very removed from my trusty Android experience and I'm not sure I'm interested in taking that big of a leap with my interface.
The app features a nice selection of cool and colorful themes, and users can even create their own hybrids and offer them via the app's website. It's all very nicely developed and it appears that most, if not all, of the themes are free.
Once you have a theme installed, you can virtually tweak all of it to your liking. The interface kind of looks like a Windows phone, with the tiled look of a Windows 8 PC. Just touch a tile to drag and move it to virtually any part of your home screen. Resize, rearrange, add and subtract tiles to your liking. The options are endless. Frankly, this is a double edged sword. I love that I can set things exactly as I want them, but don't particularly want to spend this kind of time micromanaging what every single little tile looks like and how it functions.
Buzz Launcher functions fairly well overall, but I did encounter many hangs and a few glitches. Resizing tiles often didn't work as expected, and some of the other menu options were really tricky. Overall, I think the highly customizable interface is a double edge sword. There's just too much going on here for my taste and virtually every tweak sparks another download and more wasted time. It's all very nicely done, just really time consuming and a little over the top. A launcher is supposed to help you be productive more efficiently; this one just gets lost in the quagmire within itself. Sometimes more isn't better... it's just more.

I have the Buzz Launcher installed on my phone (Samsung Note II) and i want to install it on my tablet too (Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition). Trying to get it from Play Store i get a message saying that it is not compatiple with my device. I tried to get it from the Web instead and I get a message saying that this is installed. Please advice.

Hello,
For all intents and purposes if the Play Store indicates that your device is incompatible then there is not much you can do about it.
As far as third party websites go (Which one are you referring to exactly?) There are a few that can properly detect installed apps on your device (Google Play is almost the only one that can properly detect it).
