Incredible graphics, customizable driving, excellent controls
Long timers required to progress
I don’t know much about racing games, at least not much about serious racing games, but if there is one thing I do know, it’s that Codemasters make some of the best racing games around. And some of the most difficult (looking at your, Dirt Rally). So when I first jumped into F1 Mobile Racing for Android and saw the Codemaster logo, I knew I was in for a good, quality time.
F1MR doesn’t do anything radically different from what I’ve seen happen in other racing games. You’ll duel other players to get better parts for your car, eventually upgrading it and making it more powerful so you can race better drivers and earn even better loot.
What makes this game really fun and stick out is how much it allows you to customize how you drive your car. There are multiple different ways to steer, such as on-screen buttons and tilt controls. You can also adjust how much driving assist you have in things like braking, steering and more. If you’re a casual player, you can put everything on all the way and almost have your car drive itself. But if you’re looking for a more challenging way to drive, that exists, too.
F1 Mobile Racing is pretty much the full package racing game to take with you on the go. Each race is pretty short, usually only lasting a minute to two. Upgrading your car is a really fun experience, but it can also be a bit frustrating with long timers and the like.
