A pretty decent game marred by terrible ads

Excellent sound effects and fun animations, tons of things to unlock
30-second ads play at the end of every run
I didn’t think it was possible, but I’ve finally managed to stumble upon a game more ad-ridden than a Ketchapp game. And it’s kind of a shame, too, because PLANK! for Android is an arcade game that would actually be pretty fun to play if it wasn’t for the constant ads that run after every time you lose. Worse? You can literally exit the game and restart before every 30-second ad has the time to finish.
If you’re still here after all of that, you can pay around $4 to remove the ads and have a nice ad-free experience. The game itself is fine, and actually a little entertaining, though it’s not something you probably couldn’t get elsewhere wrapped up in a slightly better package. Your job is to build a bridge to move from one platform to the other. If your bridge is too short or too long, you’ll fall off. The idea is to go around and rescue a bunch of animals, eventually creating a train of animals that follow you around.
The game has a lot of great sound effects and visuals that make you feel really good when you succeed. In the middle of each platform is a small yellow line. If you land the end of your bridge right on top of that line, you’ll get extra points. There is another bigger box that will earn you extra points, though not as much as getting a “perfect” on the yellow line.
It’s really a bummer that the game decides to put such a bad taste in players’ mouths with the ads because this would be a great game to play through otherwise. It’s really fun and jumping into another game is quick and easy. Unfortunately, the ad frequency had the opposite of the desired effect and encouraged me to uninstall the game.
