Gritty realism, gameplay remains fun and engaging, handcrafted world to explore
Have you ever wanted to test out your getaway skills? Now you’ll have your chance! Pako 2 for Android is an arcade game where you play as the getaway driver for several heists. You’ll put your driving skills to the test as you bob and weave through traffic, hazardous terrain and cops that are hellbent on putting you behind bars.
Unlike other getaway games, Pako has a bit more meat to it. Levels are handcrafting and have a ton of detail that you probably won’t notice because you’ll be too busy with the cops to notice how great everything looks. Your objective is to pick up your crew and bring them to safety before you’re capture – or in this case, just dead. No prisoners here.
Controlling the car is pretty simple. You tap left to go left and right to go right. Tapping both directions will put the brakes on, but you’ll probably only use this in emergencies. When you inevitably crash, you’ll be rewarded with cash that you can spend to upgrade your ride, which will give you extra attributes to help you get further and further into the game.
Pako 2 is a great game and has a lot to it. The aesthetic feels really gritty, like an old ‘80s crime movie or action flick. And again, the levels are all amazing. You could spend lots of time simply driving through and admiring how fully realized they are. Ultimately, the game is just really, really fun to play.
